It's time to build your Power Stack
When I gather with my friends—accomplished, brilliant, successful women—I hear the same thing over and over: “I’ve done everything right. I’ve outworked and outperformed. I’ve spent years proving myself and earning a seat at the table. So why does the next step feel so (exhaustingly) out of reach?” I’ve been thinking about this for a while now, and here’s my take on it:
The Problem Today
After having reached a certain level of success and wealth, you’ve reached a new level in the game… where the rules have changed and the path upward is even murkier than ever.
And, most importantly, you’re rarely shown what it actually takes to unlock that next level.
You’re told the usual: “Network harder. Find a mentor (or is it a sponsor?). Diversify your portfolio. Don’t forget crypto. Build your personal brand. Post on Linkedin.” There is so much (too much?) advice out there and I’m not arguing with it necessarily. I just have a few follow-up questions… and a nagging feeling that key elements are being left out of the equation.
I think the truly powerful have curated a collection of expertise, insights and infrastructure that, when layered together into their lives, ensures they are growing and protecting their power.
I created BOA, a media house shining a light on women & power, because I was done with watching brilliant women get sacrificed at the altar of “I’ll have to figure it out myself”.
The Research
When an a-list celebrity or pro-athlete turns their talent into billion-dollar empires, they don’t magically do it themselves, they have:
Advisors guiding strategic decisions and deals
A team of agents and lawyers negotiating on their behalf,
PR & Media strategists crafting their public narrative & handling crises
Personal assistants managing their everyday logistics
I could go on…
Meanwhile, the exceptional women sitting around me at dinner are expected to be their own agent, manager, strategist, and content creator—all while excelling at their day jobs and organizing their kid’s birthday parties.
The reality is, this challenge isn’t unique to the women in my life; it’s a collective burden carried by ambitious women everywhere.
In fact, the burnout and overwhelm that senior executive women are experiencing is real and quantifiable: Grant Thorton’s Women in Business reports over the last few years, warned about a 23% drop in the global percentage of women CEOs (from 28% in 2023 down to 21.7% in 2025) and stated overwork and burnout as factors that may have contributed to this decline.
If the most visible seats at the table are slipping, it’s a sign the system is actively leaking talent at the top.
The solution
What if, instead of trying to be everything, you could focus on being exceptional at what you do with a strategically crafted infrastructure propelling and protecting your life and growth? What if the expertise that powers the world’s most successful individuals was available to you? What if we could collectively and individually build our very own Power Stack?
